Seattle in 24 hours
Seattle is a great historical city to visit filled with people who have pride in where they live! To my surprise, I even found out that the city has underground tunnels from when they had to build up the city due to flooding!
If you only have a day to visit Seattle, I would highly suggest visiting these places!
Pike Market Place
Get ready for a lot of little vendors selling anything from fresh produce to hand made paintings. This market is a great place to grab a souvenir or a bite to eat. The market place is also where the first Starbucks is. Take a picture in front of the sign but skip the line and opt for a local coffee shop! Read more about that below
The Space Needle is what Seattle is known for, you cannot skip this! You may want to make this your first stop since apparently the tickets sell out fast. I would grab your ticket in the morning but get it for a time in the afternoon. If the clouds are going to clear up (which I was told you have a 1 in 3 chance of that happening) then it will be after the morning gloom has past. Plus, if you look in tourist coupon books, you can find a $3 or $5 off coupon for the ride!
Take some time out of your sleepless Seattle day and discover Discovery Park! Take a stroll through their many walking paths or make your way down to the beach. I suggest walking the coast down to the light house!
The Many Amazing Coffee Shops
The coffee shops in Seattle are the best ever! Even if you aren’t a coffee fan, give one of the local Seattle coffee shops a chance! The thing that I loved the most about the coffee shops was that most of them made their own type of milk (non-dairy of course!). I was hyped up on caffeine the whole time! Give Seattle Coffee Works a try and be sure to have it with their homemade hemp milk!
Spooked in Seattle
When night time rolls around explore the underground city with the tour company Spooked in Seattle! They are not your typical scare-you-to-death ghost tour company. They don’t have fake ghosts pop out and scare you. they give you a great tour to some haunted places in Seattle while telling you the history behind the city. They were great and our tour guide was funny and very knowledgeable!
