Top 5 Things to do in Pureto Vallarta, Mexico
The boardwalk is the place to be in Puerto Vallarta. This is where you will find the notorious cheap street vendors, amazing fruit stands, music, and a lively feel for the Mexican culture. Not to mention you are walking along the shore of the beautiful Mexican beaches.
I wrote a whole article reviewing this company which you can read here. I loved this company. They were easy to book with, very accommodating, and well organized. If you want to see the rainforests or hard to get to areas of Mexico, these tours are perfect!
According to the people of Puerto Vallarta, Tequila is not Tequila unless is actually comes from the state of Jalisco (which is where PV is). I am not a fan of drinking or hard liquor but I was convinced to take a tour. I found it really interesting to learn about how the beverage is made though! Not to mention that the people of PV are passionate about their Tequila and it comes through during their tours!
Cathedral of Our Lady Guadlupe
Are you an art history geek like me? Then you will love the amazing architecture of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Located within walking distance of the Malecon Boardwalk, I would highly recommend at least taking a peek inside this gorgeously designed cathedral.
If you want to experience real Mexican life, rent a car and travel outside the city limits to Sayulita! I traveled over to the relaxing beach city, did some shopping, and met some great locals! My travel buddy even rented a surfboard and caught some great waves while we were there!
What do you think? Did I miss anything that you must do in Puerto Vallarta?
